COURSE INFORMATION
This course is an elective course designed to provide students with an overview of the theories and practice of psychology.
GOALS OF THE COURSE:
*Gain understanding of the history of the development of the field of psychology,
including major theories and theorists
*Gain insights into human behavior – why animals and humans do the things we do
*Develop an appreciation for research methods and the challenges associated with
studying research
Grading policy: 40% of your grade comes from tests and major projects
30% of your grades comes from quizzes and minor projects
15% of your grade comes from homework and another 15% comes from
classwork (including participation)
